The industrial heritage bequeathed by Banat turns these places full of history and turmoil into spectacular sites due to its geographical position. This trail starts in Steierdorf and continues through Bradet meadows along Anina - Oravita mountain railway (Semeringul Banatean), historical monument, a mastery of those who built it two centuries ago. From here, descend through Girliste Halt to the village of Girliste, but first enjoy the panoramic view from Moghila hill. In Girliste, you can shortly deviate from the route to visit Girliste Gorge and the water mill on the outskirts of the village. Continue through Caras river meadow toward Carasova commune, an important settlement for the Croatian minority in Romania. Climb through plum orchards to Patesanul Mare hill and further over the bare hills towards Marghitas. It is a 99% off-road trail, involving mountain biking on rough forest roads, paths and wagon roads through a very spectacular limestone area.
