The trail begins in the center of Nasaud. Immediately after the start, leave the main road and bike through smaller streets to climb to Cucului Hill. Before you get up to the ridge road, you have to climb a cobblestone road, which is quite steep, but at the end of it you are high enough to have a first view over Nasaud. The clay soil on the hilltop you are heading to can be quite difficult to bike on, so it is recommended to do the trail when there has been no rain for several days in a row. It is also advisable to avoid scorching days. Cucului Hill has an N/S orientation and you bike along it from S to N. As it that does not reach high elevation, there are often households close to the ridge road. The deciduous forest alternates with vegetation-free sections, and there are even a few cherry trees once you get up on the hilltop. At the end, change direction and follow Scredel Hill to descend to Cosbuc. The wagon road is used both by the animals that graze here and by thers who climb to the grasslands above the village. The wagon road ends in a larger road and shortly after the intersection with the asphalt, cycle past the Covered wooden bridge. You can also stop at George Cosbuc Memorial House, a tourist destination worth visiting before getting to Salva. Bike for about another 6 km, through Salva and Nasaud, and end the loop trail.
