The trail runs in the southern part of the Fagaras Mountains, starting from Slatina. Climb to Bahna Rusului and ride along Cernatului Valley for about 24 kilometers. At the end of the valley, the gravel road begins to climb gradually on the slope towards Curmatura Malitei saddle. At this point, you are already in the alpine zone of the Fagaras Mountains, at over 1,800 m. The maximum elevation along this trail is reached below Gruisoru Peak: approximately 2,025 m. Next, you are going to start a long descent along the ridge, on the gravel road that goes round most of the peaks, but like any serious ridge road it has slope breaks that keep your muscles warm. Ride on Mount Urdea, Mount Lespezi and quickly get close to Clabucet Meadow on Domnesti Ridge. From here, be careful as you have to leave the main ridge somewhere close to Steuru Meadow and descend on forest roads back to the starting point in Slatina.
